Welcome to our Furo Fuze review for 2023. We aim to cover a variety of specs, stats and features included with this fully folding electric scooter. As always, Furo Systems have taken it above and beyond, forging a lightweight yet highly resistant eScooter; packed full of extras.
For starters, the frame is fashioned from aerospace-grade alloys, ensuring strength & durability. Furthermore, regenerative braking is a feature we rarely see on such modestly priced models. Highly responsive front & rear dual disc brakes ensure riders can make sudden stops in an instant, perfect for roadside riding.
An integrated 5V USB port allows riders to charge their devices on the move, especially handy if you find yourself stranded without a phone charger. Pneumatic 10″ tires aid in countering bumps and harsh hits, helping to maintain a smooth and enjoyable ride. Thanks to a fully folding frame, riders can easily pack, store and transport their eScooter, also making this model a great choice for commuters.

Switching gear to the speed, power and distance section of our Furo Fuze review; requirements of which this model certainly meets. Powered by a quiet, 800w brushless motor propels it to speeds of up to 40 km/h (24.8 mp/h); a speed similar to those often reserved for higher-end, expensive models.
We were pretty surprised at the engine size, boasting greater output than even many electric bikes. This beefy engine likely contributes to how easily this folding eScooter shreds through hills and inclines, one of the best electric scooter for hills in its price range. Riders can also enjoy a remarkable range of approx. 40 km+, thanks to the large 422Wh lithium-ion battery; sourced from world-leading manufacturers.
Alongside this, riders also have 3 riding modes to choose from – Eco, Cruise & Sport; all of which offer varying levels of performance. The fact that this model is so modestly priced, combined with this potent performance offered makes it a top pick. Currently, there are two models to choose from, the standard model or the Fuze MAX.
The latter offers an extended range of 55 km, thanks to an upgraded 12Ah 576Wh battery. However, this is the only difference between the two models, as far as we can see. Worth noting are the editable speed & power controls, allowing riders to easily adapt to their local laws and regulations. Lastly, please note that variables such as rider weight, incline, terrain, etc. will impact overall performance.

Recommended age/weight?
Whilst no recommended age or heights are mentioned, we do know that this super strong eScooter supports weights of up to 150 kg (330 lbs). This is especially impressive when considering it weighs just 17 kg, yet supports over 8.8 times its own weight. Due to high-end power offered by the Furo Fuze, we believe this folding eScooter most suited towards experienced riders aged 13+. We also recommend wearing adequate safety gear when riding at high speeds, such as a helmet and gloves.
What is the range/distance?
Approx. 40km per charge, with the upgraded Fuze MAX offering an extended range of 55 km. However, riders may find varying results, due to the regenerative braking function recharging the battery; alongside variables such as rider mode, weight, terrain, etc. Find out more about regenerative braking in the battery life & charging section below.

Now bringing our 2023 Furo Fuze review around to the battery life & charging section; we were especially impressed with the large 422Wh lithium-ion battery, typically reserved for beefier, heavier models. As such, we were surprised to see such a beefy battery on such a lightweight model.
Using lithium-ion cells sourced from industry leaders, the Furo Fuze’s brilliant battery charges in just 5.5 hours. We believe this more than acceptable, especially considering many similarly priced models require charge times of 7+ hours, yet offer a reduced range. However as we all know, Furo Systems appear never to compromise, bringing together the best of both worlds.
Another example is the remarkable regenerative braking feature; converting kinetic brake energy into electrical power for your battery, extending your range and ride time. Speaking of extending range, riders can opt for an upgraded “MAX” model, offering a bigger battery and extended range of 55 km.
Riders can also take their pick from a variety of riding modes, with “Eco” offering the best battery life & demanding the least power. Lastly, all of Furo Systems’ models feature IP55 waterproofing, ensuring protection against pressurised blasts of water and dust ingress; resulting in a safer ride and even better protected battery.
How long does it take to charge?

As the lithium-ion battery is fully integrated within the frame, it slots in smoothly, alongside protecting interior components from any interference. slotting in nicely and protecting components. Again, the previously mentioned IP55 waterproof rating result in a model resistant to pressurised blasts of water and dust ingress; in turn shielding the battery from potential damage. Lastly, many modern electric bikes undergo rigorous fire & electrical safety standards, often having to adhere to UL 2272 standards or higher. As such, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Furo Fuze followed suit.
How long will the battery last for?
On average, lithium-ion batteries last for approx. 500-1000+ charge cycles before issues arise. As a premium quality lithium-ion battery sourced from leading suppliers, riders should expect the latter of 1000+ charges. For some perspective, even if you charged & used this folding eScooter on a daily basis, it would still take 2-3 years to reach this point. Lastly, riders can easily source spares & replacements from Furo Systems’ technical support centre.

Moving our 2023 Furo Fuze review onto the design & ergonomics section, both of which this model excels at. Starting off, the fully folding frame allows riders to easily fold, store and transport their ride; making this a top electric scooter for commuters, especially when considering the competitive price.
With a body forged from an aerospace-grade alloy, its no surprise that the Fuze is also one of the lightest electric scooters available on the market; weighing in at just 17 kg. This aerospace-grade alloy results in an incredibly robust frame, handling harsh hits without warping or bending. Worth noting, for a limited time riders also receive free front/rear mudguards, kickstand, complete lighting kit, horn and wireless key set.
Superior suspension & a smooth ride
However, what we did find surprising was the incredible 150 kg (330 lbs) weight capacity, which is over 8.8 times its own weight. The front & rear mechanical suspension result in a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up sharp bumps and potholes. We believe decent suspension especially important when riding on the road, as big bumps can shake riders off balance and result in potentially threatening situations. Further featuring pneumatic 10″ tires to maintain a smooth ride and adding extra shock absorption to your ride.
A convenient 5V USB port allows riders to charge their devices on the move and at their own convenience. Anti-theft measures are also incorporated, featuring a fully integrated wireless key set & anti theft alarm. This key set allows riders to power, lock, unlock & activate the anti-theft/location alarm from a distance.
Ergonomically speaking, the Furo Fuze is extremely easy to learn, ride and store. The handlebars are comfortable, with an intuitive display clearly situated, where riders can change riding modes, check their speed, battery life and much more. Build quality and ease of use
Bringing our 2023 Furo Fuze review onto build quality & ease of use. As you may have gathered, this folding eScooter is brilliantly built, with Furo Systems sparing no expense on materials or implementing features. Starting off, the aerospace-grade alloy used for the frame is seriously strong, absorbing big slams and harsh hits without bending or buckling.
This also results in an incredibly light weight of just 17 kg, whilst supporting weights of up to 150 kg; 8.8 times its own weight. The behemoth 422Wh battery uses lithium-ion cells sourced from world-leading suppliers; with other Furo Systems’ models using the same cells as Tesla models. We found a battery of this size especially impressive, considering how it weighs so little.
Brilliantly built & full of features
Dual disc brakes result in the ability to make sudden stops on demand, especially important for riding on the road. The previously mentioned dual mechanical suspension soaks up bumps and results in a superbly smooth ride. Furo Systems place such trust in the quality control of their products, to the point where they even offer an extended 2-years warranty on all official purchases. This gives riders that extra peace of mind, knowing that if their new ride breaks, you’re covered for up to two years.
In terms of ease of use, the Furo Fuze is simple to learn and easy to transport. Thanks to a fully folding frame, riders can take their ride anywhere; simply fold it up in seconds, take a train/cab to your destination, unfold and away you go. The previously mentioned dashboard is perfectly situated, allowing riders to easily monitor their speed or battery life, alongside selecting ride mode. Feel free to charge your device, with the integrated 5V USB port; perfect for keeping your phone alive for maps or music. The actual deck of the eScooter is spacious, easily allowing riders enough room to comfortably stand. All in all, the Furo Fuze offers a brilliantly build and an easy ride, to both learn and master.

Switching our 2023 Furo Faze review to arguably one of the most important sections; safety & usability on the road. As we all know, staying safe throughout roadside riding is especially important, a small mistake could spell disaster. Thankfully, the inclusion of dual disc brakes results in remarkably responsive stopping power. Riders can easily make sharp and sudden stops at a moments notice, a feature that poses extreme importance when riding on the road. The Furo Faze further features integrated LED headlights, deck lights & a rear brake light; helping riders to see, stay seen and stay safe when riding during darker days, or even evenings.
Dual front & rear mechanical suspension aids in absorbing harsh hits and other shocks that could potentially knock riders off balance. The previously mentioned pneumatic tires also aid in soaking up harsh hits, helping to ensure a smooth and relaxing ride. Despite such superb suspension, we still believe Furo Systems intended this electric scooter for roadside use; predominantly due to the lack of off-road features. However, that’s not to say the Furo Faze lacks power, in fact quite the contrary.
This magnificent model humiliates hills and tackles inclines with ease, thanks to its high torque, 800w motor. Offering a superb speed of up to 40 km/h (24.8 mp/h), riders should have little trouble keeping up to vehicles in residential areas, where speeds typically reach a max of 30 mp/h.
