Our team were most eager to get our hands on this exciting eScooter and to officially welcome the Levy Electric Scooter to our list of 2024 reviews. In this overview section, we’ll briefly cover a few specs, stats and key selling points of this model. For starters, we believe it great value for money, offering above average performance for the price tag. It’s also full of features such as cruise control, dual braking and 3 riding modes to choose from.
All materials used are of marvellous quality, even utilising aviation grade aluminium alloy for the frame. This helps contribute to its incredible lightweight of just 27 lbs (12.2 kg). This, combined with a fully folding frame makes the Levy a great commuting scooter choice. So without revealing too much here, lets begin the real bulk of our 2024 Levy electric scooter review; starting with speed, power & distance.

How fast does it go?
Despite seeming a mere miniature 350W motor, this model actually offers a peak output of up to 700W. Whilst this offers decent acceleration and hill climb capacity, it also contributes to its fair top speed of 18 mp/h (28.9 kg). This is quite a bit faster than similarly priced competitors, often averaging around 10-12 mp/h. Riders can also choose from 3 speed modes, each offering varying levels of power (beginner, eco or sport plus mode).
What age/weight is it suitable for?
Whilst no official age recommendation is disclosed, the Levy eScooter supports up to 230 lbs (104 kg); all whilst weighing just 27 lbs (12.2 kg), supporting a total of over 8.5 times its own weight. This light weight also makes transportation and storage incredibly easy, making it an ideal commuting eScooter.
What is the range/distance?
Thanks to its 36v 6.4aH Li-ion battery, riders should expect an average range of approx. 10 miles in eco mode. However, please note that variables such as rider weight, mode, terrain, incline, etc. will impact overall performance.
Can it be used offroad?
Whilst this model is fitted with some grippy wheels, the lack of off-road functionality is evident. Those who stray from smooth & even surfaces will notice a significant decrease in rider control & do so at their own risk.
Does it lose power uphill?
The Levy electric scooter offers a fair hill climb capacity for inclines of up to 10%. Most riders might notice a decrease in performance or loss in power when tackling inclines, especially heavier riders. All in all, we believe the climbing gradient of this model more than exceeds what we expected for the price tag.

How long does it take to charge?
Surprisingly, the Levy Electric Scooter sources its Li-ion cells from Samsung; renowned industry titans & leading suppliers. These Lithium-ion batteries are known to perform much better than their counterparts; charging faster, offering greater capacity and longer life spans.
Even knowing this, we were still surprised with the downright rapid charge time of just 2.5 hours from empty. Many similarly competing models often require between 6-8+ hours; making this model a seriously fast charging eScooter.
How long will the battery last for?
Typically, an average quality Li-ion battery lasts between 500-1000+ charge cycles. Utilising premium quality Li-ion cells from Samsung, riders should expect the latter of this figure before any issues arise. For some perspective, even those charging on a daily basis would take ~2-3+ years to reach this point. Also, the battery boasts a fire-resistant casing, greater protecting it against the elements. Lastly, Levy offer replacement batteries, easily swappable thanks to the removable/swappable design.

Moving on to the design & ergonomics section of our Levy electric scooter review. For starters, this model follows the already established style; featuring a rear foot brake, folding frame, LCD display and more. However, this model utilises many of these features to further benefit the rider.
This includes the double braking system, utilising both rear disc & front electronic braking to give greater rider control at any time. Cruise control is another awesome addition, allowing riders to rest their wrist when riding for long distances; giving the Levy even more suitability as an electric scooter for commuters.
The display is conveniently situated in the centre, allowing you to check your speed, battery, mileage and more at a mere glance. Moving on, the removable battery is another great feature not often seen on models of this price range. This effectively allows riders to swap out and replace dead or broken batteries on the move; resulting in easy replacements and doubling, tripling, etc. your total ride time.
Ergonomically speaking, this model offers a comfortable ride, operating much like every other conventional scooter on the market. The deck and also handlebars are wide and spacious, offering more than enough room for manoeuvrability. All in all, a well designed & comfortable ride perfect for casuals and commuters alike.

What brakes does the Levy Electric Scooter have?
This model features a dual braking system, which utilises both the rear disc & front electronic brake; greatly improving control & resulting in sharp, precise stops. We were pleasantly surprised to see this feature incorporated in such a cost-effective model.
Is it foldable?
Yes – the Levy electric scooter features a fully folding frame; allowing for quick and easy transportation, alongside compact storage. Coupled with its lightweight frame, riders can effortlessly fold and store their ride in seconds. As such, we believe this model a top electric scooter for commuters, especially those on a budget!
Does it connect to your smartphone?
No – unfortunately this model does not offer any Bluetooth / mobile app support.
Does it work as a regular scooter?
Yes – Once off or out of battery, feel free fire up your own manual leg motors and do all the work yourself!
Levy Electric vs Levy Pro
Alongside the standard model, Levy also stock a “Pro” variant of this eScooter. Whilst both these models share similar designs, specs & features, the Pro clearly offers marginally better performance. This includes a bigger battery, extending total range by up to 10 miles (total range of 20 mp/h). Alongside this, the tires are upgraded to 10″ tubed pneumatic tires, offering additional shock absorption and greater grip.
Both models offer a similar top speed, with the Pro coming out on top at 19 mp/h; just 1 mp/h more than the standard model. Due to the bigger battery, the Levy Pro weighs 3 lbs more, for a total of 30 lbs. This shouldn’t prove much of a difference, however the real difference in terms of the Electric vs Pro is regenerative braking, range & price. The Pro model features regenerative braking, a greater range but also a higher price tag by around $200. Whether a bigger battery, wheels & additional features described are worth the extra money is up to you.
Build quality and ease of use
Bringing our 2024 Levy electric scooter review onto build quality & ease of use; revealing yet more surprises surrounding this superb scooter. To begin, the Levy utilises aviation grade aluminium alloy for its frame, helping contribute towards that ludicrous light weight and strength; capable of supporting just over 8.5 times its own weight. Furthermore, this model sources Li-ion cells from leading supplier Samsung, also known to produce parts for Tesla.
Throughout our tests, we were unable to find and compromise in quality or function, with the frame eating up a number of harsh hits and bumps without bending or warping. To attest to their own confidence in quality control, Levy offer 6 months warranty on all official purchases, keeping you covered should any faults arise in this time.
Furthermore, those who change their mind are entitled to a 6 month return guarantee, ensuring refunds for those who return within this period. The beefy battery is encased within a fire resistant material, greater protecting against the elements. Honestly, we were blown away with the brilliant build quality, especially when considering the price.
It even boasts an IP54 water resistance rating, leagues above similarly priced competitors. Akin to our ergonomics section above, riding & folding this eScooter is a breeze, operating much like many models on the market. Riders can even choose from 3 speed modes, each offering varying levels of speed/power; perfect for beginners and pros alike.
How easy is it to carry?
Very easy – With a fully folding frame and light weight of just 27 lbs (12.2 kg), riders will have no issues storing, carrying or transporting their ride. Also worth mentioning, its super light weight make it one of the lightest electric scooters we’ve reviewed to date. All of these features combine to make it a great electric scooter for commuters.
How smooth is the ride?
We recommend riders stay on smooth & even surfaces as intended, no problems will arise. However, we still insist you keep an eye out for potholes and other bumps in the road; big hits can potentially compromise rider control.

Switching to the most serious section of our 2024 Levy electric scooter review; safety & usability on the road. Starting out, LED head/tail lights are an essential feature, allowing riders to see and stay seen during darker days. However, we still recommend riders wear adequate safety gear, such as high-visibility clothing, helmet, gloves, etc.
Moving on, the dual braking system results in some remarkably responsive brakes, allowing for some sharp & sudden stops. With Lithium-ion cells sourced from Samsung, riders need not worry about any electrical malfunctions. Many modern models must adhere to strict fire & electrical safety standards before being sold to the public.
It would appear that Levy have further safeguarded against any issues, incorporating a fire resistant battery casing. Furthermore, the entire scooter boasts a water resistance rating of IP54; protecting against dust ingress and sustained water jets from all directions. Of course, no model is completely waterproof, so we recommend avoiding torrential rain or submerging your scooter.
In terms of usability on the road, it seems clear that the Levy is designed for just that. With a lack of off-road functionality, its clear that this scooter suits flat, even terrain such as pavements and roads. Therefore, we heavily recommend sticking to the road, provided PEVs are road legal in your region.
