Introducing another fantastic model from Furo, the Aventa; also available in 3 different variants. Pick from the Pure, Standard & MAX models, each with varying ranges & battery capacity. How fast does it go?
The Furo Aventa offers a top speed of approx. 25 km/h (15.5 mp/h), with 6 power modes to choose from; each offering varying acceleration, power & speed. However, please note that variables such as payload, terrain, incline, weather, etc. will impact overall performance.
What age/weight is it suitable for?
Whilst Furo Systems have released no official statement regarding recommended ages for this bike, we believe it fairly obvious that this model is intended for those over 16+. This is predominantly due to its role as an adult bike, alongside the recommended heights of 165cm – 195cm (5’4 – 6’2). In terms of weight, the Furo Aventa supports up to 120 kg (265 lbs), whilst weighing just 16.5 kg itself. Lastly, please note that heavier riders may experience a decrease in performance, especially when climbing hills.
What is the range/distance?
Total mileage per charge varies depending on model picked, as each contain differing battery sizes. For example, the PURE offers a range of approx. 40 km, the standard variant reaches ranges of up to 60km+, whilst the MAX offers ranges of up to 80km+. We were especially impressed with the range offered by the MAX, which makes this model a great long range electric bike. Whilst we’ve come to expect great mileage from these mid-upper spec models, its always a nice surprise to see a company go above and beyond.

Can it be used offroad?
All models offer very limited off-road functionality, predominantly due to their nature as city/urban bikes intended for roadside use. Whilst riders can still deal with dirt paths and other tracks, you should still stick to the trail! As such, we recommend avoiding trickier terrains and sticking to smoother surfaces.
Does it lose power uphill?
Somewhat minor loss of power up until approx. 15+ degree inclines, where there was a fairly noticeable decrease in power. Please note that heavier riders may find climbing hills harder than those of average and under weights.

How long does it take to charge?
Much like total range, charge time and battery capacity relies on the model picked. All models utilise superb Samsung batteries, leading suppliers of Li-ion cells & even supplying Tesla. The PURE takes just 4.5 hours to charge, whilst the standard edition takes 5.5 hours; with the MAX coming in at 7 hours, likely due to that increased range and bigger battery.

How long will the battery last for?
Furo Systems utilise lithium-ion cells for their batteries, known to offer much greater capacity & efficiency; alongside longer life. Further expanding on this, Furo source these batteries from Samsung, industry-leading suppliers who also produce batteries for Tesla. These premium quality li-ion batteries typically last between 500-1000+ charge cycles before any faults arise. For some perspective, this would still take 2-3+ years of daily charging before reaching this point. Lastly, FuroSystems offer a 2 year warranty on all official purchases, keeping you protected should any problems persist.

Moving our 2024 Furo Aventa review onto design & ergonomics. For starters, this model incorporates a full-size frame design, which aids in both comfort & utility. With a bigger frame, manufacturers further fit a bigger battery, in turn granting greater ranges. Whilst low walk-through frames offer great usability for older & disabled riders, a full frame results in a much more robust and reliable ride. We were especially impressed with how sturdy yet lightweight the Furo Aventa actually is, weighing just 16.5 kg whilst supporting over 7 times its own weight. We believe this is partly in thanks to its aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame, ensuring both a light weight & durability.
The frame can withstand a number of harsh hits and scrapes without denting, warping or buckling. Alongside this, the battery is also fully removable, allowing riders to conveniently charge their ride from anywhere. Typically, most eBikes require riders to charge from the frame, which is often cumbersome and inconvenient. The LCD display is perfectly situated in the centre, allowing riders to quickly check their speed, mileage, battery and more. In terms of the standard, PURE & MAX designs, each variant is pretty much the exact same outside of display type, battery sizes & mileage. What brakes does the Furo Aventa have?
This model utilises dual hydraulic disc brakes, offering some remarkably responsive braking power. Whilst these types of brakes occasionally require tuning, this doesn’t take long and is fairly straightforward.
Is it foldable?

Does it connect to your smartphone?
No, unfortunately there is no Bluetooth or mobile app compatibility with this model.
Does it work as a regular bike?
Yes – riders should have no problem putting their foot to the pedal and giving it their all.
Build quality and ease of use
Bringing our 2024 Furo Aventa review onto build quality & ease of use. Put simply, the build quality of this bike is phenomenal; utilising Li-ion cells from industry leading Samsung & forging their frame from aerospace-grade aluminium alloy. Furo Systems further offer 2 year warranty on all official purchases, testifying to their confidence in quality control. This company are known for their innovation and brilliantly built bikes. To attest to its own strength, this model can withstand up to 7.2 times its own weight of 16.5 kg, impressive! We were mostly surprised with the somewhat small 250W (500W peak) motor, which still offers a fairly decent top speed of 25 km/h; with the rear motor apparently “tested over hundreds of thousands of km”
Whilst a mightier motor is always nice, we feel this could reduce mileage; which is especially important for such a long range electric bike. We feel this model gravitates more towards casual riders than commuters however, mostly due to the full-size frame. In terms of ease of use, riders will have no problems picking up and riding this magnificent model. Whilst a full-frame can result in difficult mounting for the elderly or those with mobility issues, the average rider shouldn’t find this an issue. Whilst cruise control would prove a great inclusion for such a long range electric bike, the throttle is still comfortable; remaining suitable for longer journeys.
How easy is it to carry?
Surprisingly easy thanks to its lightweight of 16.5 kg, however the full-sized frame can make manoeuvring a little difficult.
How smooth is the ride?
Whilst the suspension used remains undisclosed, the Aventa offers a straightforward & smooth experience for most riders; provided you stick to even surfaces as intended. Those deciding to take this model off-road will do so at the expense of their own comfort.
Safety and usability on the road
Safety and usability on the road
Moving on to the most important section of our Furo Aventa review for 2024; safety & usability on the road. To start, having lighting integrated within the frame is a fantastic choice, greatly increasing rider safety & visibility. Whilst this is a great start, we still recommend riders wear adequate safety gear when riding, such as reflective clothing, helmet, gloves, etc. Bringing focus back to the frame, we feel a full-sized eBike is much more visible and imposing than folding counterparts; possibly lending extra utility regarding safety. Hydraulic disc brakes are another integral inclusion, offering sensational stopping power and allowing riders to make sharp stops on demand.
We believe good brakes especially important when riding on the road, where you may need to stop on short notice. Whilst we prefer drum brakes on account of convenience, tuning disc brakes is fairly quick & easy. In terms of legality, Furo Systems state that this model remains road legal worldwide & in all countries. Judging from the design & features included, we believe its clear that this long range eBike is intended for roadside use. Whilst riders can find limited use on off-road terrains, the smoothest journeys are those on flat, even surfaces.

Yes – the Furo Aventa features fully integrated, ultra-bright headlights within the frame. However, we still recommend riders pick up some rear lighting to greater ensure safety.
